Roller Blinds General information

All of our roller blinds are manufactured utilising a durable 32mm diameter aluminium tube, which provides enough rigidity for a single unit of up to 10 feet(120") or 3.05 metres (3048mm) in width. Over this width a variable amount of sag will result in a 'bounce' effect when the blind is drawn and invariably affect the general operation of the blind.

Control is achieved by way of a chain driven sidewind unit incorporating a spring loaded locking device matched with the individual weight of the chosen fabric. These control ends are available in white or dark brown as standard with colour co-ordinated brackets and acetal ball chain to allow silent and smooth instant control over the blinds positioning. We also have a spring method of operation that is more suited to blinds with a width of up to 6 feet(72") or 1.83metres(1830mm), fabric life can also be shortened with this feature as wear and tear is increased due to the stretching nature of operation.

We ask that measurements are taken in millimetres and on a recess basis, this allows the tightest fit possible allowing for the relative tolerance adjustment that we automatically factor at the time of production. The physical width of the roller fabric will always be 1.378" or 35mm less overall than the measurement width size provided. This reduction allows for the space taken by brackets at the top and relates to the total width of the roller tube. If you require an outside recess application or specificallyy need the fabric coverage to be accounted then please ensure that you add the above tolerance to your resulting measurment as a minimum amount, and more importantly that you have the additional room required for fitting the blind.

When it comes to child safety and roller blinds we incorporate a break away connector on our chain driven units as standard, further precaution is available by using a chain cleat which is available on request at no extra charge. However the ultimate safety route would be to consider spring with short toggle or perfect fit methods of operation where the potentially harmful looping effect is totally eliminated thus removing the risk of strangulation.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you may have regarding roller blinds before you commit yourself to purchase.
